For the last 25 years, Bead It has been fostering creativity in the minds of those visiting our store in Downtown Santa Cruz.

We've seen generations of folks come in and learn the art of beading and discover their own unique styles. For all of you who have wonderful memories of coming in and beading as children or if just love our store... This show is for you!

We want to say "Good-bye" in style by celebrating with past & present consignment artists, employees, customers and our whole community during our final First Friday.

Be sure to join us in creating one last beautiful memory of this beloved Downtown jewelry mecca!

Missed but not forgotten, we hope Bead It will be a Santa Cruz legend for years to come!

Join us for an evening of fun with some of your favorite local artists. The night will be dedicated to raising awareness and money for local kids who have been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy Disease. Our featured artists will showing their wonderful works of art to you with a percentage of every sale going directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We also will be selling raffle tickets and taking straight tax deductible donations for the cause!

This showcase will also be featuring a speaker from Jacobs Heart Children's Cancer Association,  a local charity that provides critical support to kids and the families of kids fighting terminal illness in Santa Cruz, San Benito & Monterey counties.

A special raffle will be held at 8:30pm!

The Kazuri Beads Trunk Show

 Come check out the latest craze in designer beads, Kazuri Beads!

 *Kazuri Produces handmade, hand-painted ceramic beads and jewelry in Nairobi, Kenya. Each Bead is shaped by hand, without the aid of molds or forms, by one of the 300 local women employed by Kazuri. The beads are then polished and kiln fired, painted and fired again.

*Kazuri Beads have been featured in Bead Style Magazine, Bead & Button, Stringing Magazine and many more!

*As a member of The Fair Trade Federation (FTF), the Kazuri Bead philosophy is to provide employment opportunities to disadvantaged members of Kenyan Society, as well as health insurance, school supplies and uniforms for the their children.
