Class Descriptions
Basic Bead Stringing
(Beginning level, no prerequisites)
Learn the basics for making professional looking jewelry, using a variety of stinging materials and findings. This class covers techniques for finishing tiger-tail, leather, string, memory wire and elastic.
Classes will be held on 10/22, 10/28, 11/2, 11/11, 11/23 & 12/1 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Wire Basics
(Beginning level- no prerequisites)
Learn basic wire techniques for making standard loops and wrapped loos, essential for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and more, and how to work with or create your own chain. Learn how to make your own connectors, dangles, clasps and earwires.
Classes will be held on 10/15, 10/21, 10/27, 11/4, 11/10, 11/16, 11/24 & 12/3 from 7:30pm- 9:30pm.
Pearl Knotting
(Beginning level- no pre-requisites)
Pearls are traditionally strung with a knot placed carefully between each pearl. This is a beautiful style that can be used with any beads. Learn the art of peal knotting, and the popular style of spacing beads to create a "floating" necklace. This class also covers various finishing techniques.
Classes will be held on 10/20, 10/26, 11/3, 11/9, 11/25 & 11/30 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Lexi's Peyote Bracelet Class
(Beginning level- no prerequisites)
In this class you will learn how to make a simple bracelet using one of the most basic Native American stitches. You will learn how to use this stitch as a base for a bracelet, add embelishments to it, and even create your own clasp.
Classes will be held on 10/19 and 10/29 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Caging The Stone class with Tamara
(Intermediate level- prerequisites equivalent to our Wire Basics class)
In this class you will learn the innovative and fascinating technique of creating a setting with wire that can be applied to almost any object transforming it into a wearable masterpiece. This method of setting stones is done using only wire, a set of pliers and your own inner creativity, which makes it a widely accessible technique that opens a whole world of possibilities for what you can use and where you can do it.
Classes will be held 11/5, 11/17, 11/26 & 12/2
from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
