Class Descriptions

Basic Bead Stringing

(Beginning level, no prerequisites)

Learn the basics for making professional looking jewelry, using a variety of stinging materials and findings. This class covers techniques for finishing tigertail, leather, thread, memory wire and stretch cord.

Classes will be held on 11/8, 11/21, 12/4, 12/17, & 12/27.

from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Wire Basics

(Beginning level- no prerequisites)

Learn basic wire techniques for making standard loops and wrapped loops, essential for necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and more, and how to work with or create your own chain. Learn how to make your own connectors, dangles, clasps and earwires.

Classes will be held on 11/13, 11/26, 12/6, & 12/19.

from 7:30pm- 9:30pm.

Pearl Knotting

(Beginning level- no prerequisites)

Pearls are traditionally strung with a knot placed carefully between each pearl. This is a beautiful style that can be used with any beads. Learn the art of peal knotting, and the popular style of spacing beads to create a "floating" necklace. This class also covers various finishing techniques.

Classes will be held on 11/12, 11/24*, 12/5, & 12/18.

Caging The Stone

(Intermediate level- prerequisites equivalent to our Wire Basics class)

In this class you will learn the innovative and fascinating technique of creating a setting with wire that can be applied to almost any object transforming it into a wearable masterpiece. This method of setting stones is done using only wire, a set of pliers and your own inner creativity, which makes it a widely accessible technique that opens a whole world of possibilities for what you can use and where you can do it.

Classes will be held on 11/7, 11/20, 12/3 & 12/13.

Class Information

All classes are held at Bead It from 7:30 to 9:30pm, unless otherwise indicated.
A minimum of two students must be enrolled for a class to be held, and up to five students may attend.
There is a fee of $30 for all classes. Fees must be paid in advance. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the class will be rescheduled, or the fee refunded.
Cancellations require a 48 hours notice to be eligible for a refund.
Students are required to provide materials for classes. Supplies may be purchased at Bead It during regular store hours. Please purchase supplies ahead of time. Tools will be provided for the duration of the class, courtesy of Bead It.
Students will receive a 10% off of all purchases at Bead It for thirty days from the date of the class.

Reqular store hours are from 11am-7pm everyday. Doors are locked from 7-7:30pm for class preparation.

Classes may be rescheduled by request, pending mutual agreement with the instructor.
